The Grand European Trio: Exploring Vienna, Ljubljana, and Zagreb

The charming centre of this historic city is easily walkable, full of cobbled streets and elegant architecture. High above the city lies the Ljubljana Castle like a steady, formidable guardian. Bled Lake is only an hour away; spend a day walking around the lake or taking a boat ride accross and visiting the Bled Castle.

Your final stop on this three countries' trip is Croatia's capital of Zagreb, only a two-hour car ride from Ljubljana.

Set below the Medvednica Mountain, Zagreb is comprised of two historic parts – the clerical Kaptol, recognisable for the white spires of the Gothic Cathedral, and Gradec or Grič, the Medieval old town, fortified and originally accessed through six gates, of which only one remains today. You'll notice the interesting contrast between the old and the new – the elegant Upper Town with the St Marco's Church and Croatia's Parliament building in its heart, and the buzzing Lower Town full of restaurants, bars and green areas.
