Poreč is a popular summer resort on the coast of the Istrian Peninsula in western Croatia. The historic old town is well known for its famous em-studded Byzantine mosaics. The coastline north and south of town draws visitors with camping areas, marinas and beaches for swimming and water sports. The Poreč Delfin Swin is a fantastic sea swimming event, enjoyed by everyone, which usually takes place on the third Saturday in August and attracts around 1000 swimmers of all various levels of swimming ability.
