Croatia is the ideal holiday destination for those who prefer to do more than just lie on a beach, here are some things to do which you may not know are on offer.
Swimming with horses
If you’re staying in Pula or Porec and go out for a memorable day trip. Ride through Olive groves and pasture land in beautiful Istria, ending in Rasa Bay where you can take a swim with your equine pal.

Now firmly on the World’s cultural ‘must do’ list, clients staying in Opatija during September will benefit from tickets with our compliments. Luminaries such as Nigel Kennedy have played here in the past. Celebrate half year (like New Year but at the end of June!) on the island of Korcula. They really go to town with a ‘Festa’ atmosphere, special boat trips, parties late into the night and national dress on display. If you like local culture then you will love this !
Fishermen’s Night
On Friday or Saturday evenings, local fishermen will set up a stall on the quayside and grill the fish they have caught that day served with salad and a cool Pivo (beer) its an authentic, enjoyable, (and cheap!) meal out. Often there will also be a local band, or Clappa Group (Clappa is the Croatian version of Barbershop singing). When the beach beckons, there are 130 European approved blue flag beaches. Mostly shingle or pebble, but that’s why the water is so clear!
