For some people, a hotel is a key part of the holiday. For others, it is more of a place to use as a base with essential facilities, clean rooms and efficient staff. We are all different.

Classification of hotels in Croatia is somewhat unusual and, for example, no four star hotel is the same. A bedroom just one metre too small from the four star standard may result in a three star classification even though the hotel may have many facilities including a pool, spa and so on.

We offer hundreds of hotels (and a selection of villas and apartments) and we make it our job to update ourselves about new and refurbished properties. The beautiful island of Cres (one of Croatia’s two largest islands) had only two hotels until September 2024. Now it has three as the brand new five star Autograph by Marriott opened in late September. Within a fortnight we were there, checking out some of the 49 rooms, the stylish restaurant and the sumptuous new beach bar and pool. It’s what a specialist to Croatia should do
